Membership

On February 26, 2018 the Critical care Nurses Association of the Philippines, Inc (CCNAPI) hosted the consensus building on the formation of a regional critical care nursing federation in the ASEAN. This activity was participated by representative from seven of the ten ASEAN countries, such as Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, and Singapore. These representatives unanimously agreed to form the Southeast Asia Federation of Critical Care Nurses (SEAFCCN).

The member associations are formally admitted into membership and accept the constitution of SEAFCCN.

As a federation of national nursing organizations in the south east Asian region, it is open to two categories of membership:

  • Active Member: defined as a critical care nursing association or society of critical care nurses. Or it is a separate critical care nurses’ section within a health professional association with its own constitutions, regulations and rules and has applied, meeting the requirement and accepted as an active member of the SEAFCCN. An active member has voting rights and has a representation to the council of the federation.
  • Associate Member: defined as any individual or organization wishing to participate in the activities of the SEAFCCN but not having a member association in their country. These may include but are not limited to Trade and Industry Partners and non-Critical Care Nursing organizations. Associate members may apply for observer status at SEAFCCN meetings but do not have any of the rights or obligations of the Active Member as outlined in the SEAFCCN Constitution and By -laws
